Objective: AA and United entered the North Atlantic market. BA needed a flexible resource to influence US Travel Agencies and retain / grow market share.
Activity:USM recruited a part-time BA branded / uniformed sales force against strict BA recruitment criteria to build relationships with Leisure Travel agencies through regular visits, support, merchandising and training.
Communication: Sales materials provided by BA for the USM team to use in call.
Results: 40% increase in leisure sales achieved in agents previously not visited by BA. A survey of agents visited demonstrated that 92% of respondents found the USM visits "extremely valuable."
